Inspiring Ethical Reflection at the University of Bucharest

Creating a strong culture of research ethics begins with open dialogue, critical thinking, and the willingness to challenge complex questions. This was the focus of two engaging workshops held at the University of Bucharest, where participants explored key ethical dimensions of contemporary research and academic practice.

The sessions encouraged researchers and students to reflect on the principles that guide responsible research. Through interactive discussions and practical examples, attendees had the opportunity to exchange perspectives and examine real-world ethical dilemmas that researchers encounter across disciplines.

Led by PhD Alexandru Dragomir and Prof. Laurențiu Gheorghe, the workshops fostered a dynamic and collaborative learning environment, inspiring participants to think critically about integrity, responsibility, and the social impact of research. Their expertise and engaging approach stimulated thoughtful conversations and encouraged participants to view ethics not as a set of rules, but as an essential part of excellent research.

The enthusiastic participation and lively discussions demonstrated the value of creating spaces where researchers can share experiences, ask questions, and strengthen their ethical awareness as members of the academic community.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took part in these workshops and contributed to their success. A special thank you goes to PhD Alexandru Dragomir and Prof. Laurențiu Gheorghe for their insightful presentations, commitment, and dedication to promoting research ethics and integrity.

Together, these workshops continue to strengthen a shared commitment to responsible research and to fostering a culture of ethics, trust, and academic excellence across European higher education.
